Give us a brief history of your business and the services it provides for its customers:
Started by Margie Brokate in 1995, Brokate Janitorial started in Branson providing janitorial services. In 2005, Margie’s sons, Jeremy and Cheyne Brokate, joined full-time with a broader vision for the company and a means for Margie to retire. Since that time, Brokate Janitorial has gone from three employees working out of their Mom’s garage and home office to offices in Branson and Springfield with more than 80 staff members in 2017. We provide complete office cleaning and janitorial services for commercial facilities in southwest Missouri.

What do you think makes your company unique?
The level of community involvement and impact we make is pretty unique for a janitorial service provider. We are very active in community events, like those offered by the Chamber and The Network for Young Professionals, where Jeremy Brokate sits on the Leadership Council. We’ve also donated more than $90,000 over the last three years in cleaning services and cash donations to local non-profits.

What exciting news has your business reported recently, and what does the future hold?
We had a lot of great news in the past 12 months, including over 30% revenue growth in 2016. The most exciting news, however, was moving into our new permanent corporate office building in Springfield. It more than quadrupled our Springfield office space to handle not only our current needs, but future needs as well. By planting permanent roots in Springfield, it shows clients our long-term commitment to the area and them. Our larger office space also serves as a training and testing ground to ensure we’re providing the highest quality and value to our customers.

As for the future, we continue to focus on high-quality service, client partnerships, continual improvement and value. We're always looking to expand the facility services we offer our clients to enhance the value and service we can provide for them. Continual improvement is ingrained in our company culture, so we’re always working to improve all aspects of our business.
