Russell Cellular announces $8M new headquarters, 135 new jobs

Springfield-based wireless communication services company Russell Cellular is expanding to accommodate more than two decades of growth. The exclusive Verizon Authorized Retailer plans to build a new 40,000-square-foot corporate headquarters facility in Battlefield, creating 135 new jobs with above-average wages over the next five years.

Springfield region attracts workers’ compensation care management company

The Jacksonville, FL-based company is utilizing an existing Springfield building and will create 100 new full-time jobs with benefits by the end of 2017, with additional growth expected in the future.

Accelerator program connects startups with funding and guidance

The Chamber—along with its development arm, the Springfield Business Development Corporation—have worked tirelessly with community and business leaders to help create and fund programs aimed at addressing entrepreneurial gaps. One such program was started earlier this year: The eFactory Accelerator, which has selected its first four participants.
