Responsible for managing the Center for Professional Development (CPD).  The CPD drives development of CoxHealth leaders, emerging leaders and our workforce. Strategies used include seated classes, online modules, Linkedin Learning tools, collaborations with area partners and schools, internal career counseling and marketing of services.

The incumbent will determine educational needs, develop curriculum; recruit internal and external facilitators; coordinate and facilitate leadership training courses; ensure evaluation of program outcomes; and perform other duties as required to deliver educational programs supporting organizational needs and strategic objectives.

This position reports to the System Director of Recruitment and Retention in the Human Resources department.

Job Requirements

    • Education
      • Required: Bachelor’s degree in business, healthcare administration, human resources or a related area
    • Experience
      • Required: Five years or more experience in leadership, education, talent development, and/or human resources management.
      • Preferred: The ideal candidate will have experience in both education and organizational leadership, with healthcare experience preferred.
    • Skills
      • Well-honed people management skills, poised and capable of gaining the trust of the leadership and the employees while influencing positive organizational outcomes;
      • Strong problem-solving skills, with a track record of implementing new initiatives with successful outcomes;
      • Excellent judgment and listening skills, with the ability to handle confidential and sensitive issues with diplomacy, discretion and integrity;
      • Clear and effective communication and coaching skills;
      • Strong project management and operational experience
      • Must be adept at both facilitating faculty presentations and presenting classroom education.
