Hear about the outlook for our economy

Posted by Chamber Communications on Aug 01, 2019

The Springfield Business Development Corporation, the Chamber’s economic development arm, presents its annual Economic Outlook event on August 21, designed to provide insight on current trends in the local, regional and national economies for Springfield’s business decision-makers.

The keynote speaker for this year’s event is Kevin Kliesen, business economist and research officer at the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis. Kliesen will discuss the national outlook for sustained economic growth and how federal monetary policy is hedging against a pending economic downturn.

Make plans to join us at University Plaza Hotel & Convention Center – the doors open on August 21 at 11 a.m. for networking, with lunch and the program beginning at 11:30 a.m. If you’re interested in tickets, contact Jen Johnson at the Chamber by calling (417) 862-5567.

Special thanks to our Presenting Sponsor for this event, BKD CPAs & Advisors, as well as our Gold Sponsors: Arvest Bank, the City of Springfield, Kutak Rock, Ollis/Akers/Arney Insurance and Business Advisors, and Sapp Design Associates.
