The Jefferson Awards in Washington DC has awarded Lift Up Springfield's founder, Dr. Tricia Derges, MD, the National Jefferson Award for Missouri and the elite National Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis Award. Only 5 individuals in the country are awarded the Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis Award annually in Washington DC. This award is considered the Nobel Peace Prize on the community level. Lift Up Springfield provides medical, dental and mental health services to the communities homeless, Veterans, poor and uninsured. The clinic works strictly through donations from individuals and businesses. All services are provided by volunteers. Over 8000 people have been helped since the clinic opened at Glenstone and Kearney in January 2016.
Lift Up Springfield would greatly appreciate any financial support that you or your company could provide. The clinic desperately needs to expand its space and be able to purchase modern equipment. The clinic is a 501c3.
The clinic is always in need of dentist to volunteer. The dental needs are tremendous. So many people are in pain and need help. No regular commitment is required, just ONE time a year would be so much appreciated!
