Company Name: Bluebird Underground
General Manager: Todd Murren
Year founded: 2003

Describe your services and your history:
We are a technology company that provides data center and networking services to cloud service providers and enterprise business customers.

What do you think makes your business unique?
We take pride in how closely we listen to our customers. We like to think we add value to their business proposition and support them like your mom did when you had a cold.

Tell us about some recent highlights, awards or achievements.
We received the Missouri Chamber of Commerce and Industry's 2015 Missouri Fast Track award as one of the fastest growing businesses in Missouri, and in 2016, Inc. 5000 recognized Bluebird as one of the fastest growing private companies in the nation.

What do you see for the future of your business?
Bluebird’s networking and data center services are two key business technology ingredients, and data centers are literally at the heart. I do not see the rate at which we welcome technology into our personal and professional lives slowing down at all. Moore’s Law says computing power doubles roughly every 24 months. But we’ve been on that path for a little over 50 years, and now we’re seeing the effects of doubling large numbers. It’s exponential acceleration - the numbers get big and the changes become significant. The evidence is all around us; cars that drive themselves, virtual reality scenarios for human entertainment, training and marketing. And now I can print a durable 3-D object. None of this was commonly discussed five years ago. That’s the effect of exponential acceleration. Our community has an outstanding history of very successful businesses, and we are blessed with a shared emphasis on technological development, regardless of whether its application is in development, factory automation, design or support services for business or entrepreneurs. I see many opportunities to grow, challenges to improve and advancements in the future.
