See who is a finalist for the Small Business Award

Five area businesses are finalists for the 2015 Small Business Award to be presented by the Springfield Area Chamber of Commerce May 6 during its annual award event.

The award is determined by written applications scored by an independent panel of judges and has been presented by the Chamber since 1992. The application consists of written essays covering the topics of company history, business or management philosophy, response to challenges, innovative products or services offered, and community-oriented contributions.

The finalists are:

All About Trees is a locally owned, full-service tree care company serving a 20-mile radius around the Springfield area. Their services include tree pruning and trimming, tree removal, planting, stump grinding, cabling and bracing, shrub trimming, and consultation.

Community Partnership of the Ozarks, Inc. manages more than 30 grants and contracts funded by local, state and federal dollars with the goal of helping coordinate and develop community resources and social programs in Southwest Missouri.

Dake Wells Architecture, Inc. employs a design-centered approach toward architecture, interiors and graphics, with an emphasis on progressive and sustainable design solutions.

Layer3 Technology is a Springfield-based technology support firm with a mission to provide technology solutions that help clients keep costs down while maximizing company productivity.

People Centric Consulting helps companies operate more effectively and efficiently. Their portfolio includes strategic planning, business analysis, leadership development and a number of other consulting services.
