Teacher Externships
The Chamber hosts annual summer Teacher Externships for educators who work with 6th-12th grade students. Over the course of four days, staff connect educators with various business partners so they can experience first-hand in-demand skills, industries, and professional fields outside the school environment. Teachers take the knowledge and experiences they gained from the externship back to their classrooms to better prepare students for the workforce.

Do you want to learn about the careers you're preparing your students for? Join us for the Springfield Area Chamber of Commerce Teacher Externship to immerse yourself in our local business community and to learn about what students need to be successful as they launch into the workforce. The 22026 Teacher Externship is scheduled for July 13-16 and we are currently accepting applications.
