Concluding Year Three of The Reach Campaign

The Chamber has wrapped up its third annual Reach Campaign, and thanks to your generous support and the hard work of nearly 100 volunteers, we’ve set new records in both funds raised and the number of companies purchasing sponsorships for 2019.

The fundraising total for this year’s campaign surpassed last year by more than 30 percent. These funds will help the Chamber continue our critical work supporting and assisting existing businesses, stimulating job creation and growth, and working to improve the quality of life for all of our area’s residents.

Just as importantly, nearly 300 companies purchased a sponsorship or marketing opportunity through this year’s campaign. That’s an increase of more than 10 percent from last year – and it means that more of our members recognize the potential to increase their visibility by supporting a Chamber program or initiative.

“We work diligently every day to create an environment where local businesses and individuals can thrive, but we couldn’t do that work without the support of our members,” said Chamber President Matt Morrow. “We are so grateful for the work of our volunteers in reaching out to member organizations to show them the opportunities that are available, and to those organizations for making the commitment to support us next year.”

Speaking of those programs and initiatives, there are a couple of new ones on the list for 2019. Be on the lookout for these events on next year’s calendar:

  • SGForum – This new summit-style event from The Network will bring together young professionals from across the Springfield area in June to hear from dynamic speakers and end the day with a fun afterparty for YPs and the young-at-heart.
  • 100th Anniversary Gala – The Chamber celebrates its 100th birthday in 2019, and we’ll be celebrating in style with a special black-tie optional event in October.

And of course, your favorites will be returning for next year as well, including Good Morning, Springfield!, Business After Hours, and our 60 Minutes to Success and Expert Edge lunch-and-learn events.
