FedEx is more than just a delivery giant. The company is fighting to reduce the number of preventable deaths and injuries worldwide. At this month’s Safe and Sound Saturday event, FedEx put on a distracted driving course and worked with Safe Kids Springfield to educate children about injury prevention.

Three associates at BKD CPAs & Advisors—Michael Kimble, Benjamin Lyford and Ashley McDowell—have been awarded the 2018 Elijah Watt Sells Award. According to the American Institute of CPAs (AICPA), CPA candidates must obtain a cumulative average score above 95.50 across all four sections of the Uniform CPA Examination®, pass all four sections on their first attempt and have completed testing in 2018 to be eligible for the award. Only 110 individuals qualified out of the approximately 86,000 exam takers.

Before the move, 90% of the workforce had offices with personal printers and there was no centralized print location. Xerox deployed a Next Generation MPS solution to consolidate devices. Small devices now surround the perimeters of each floor, providing easy access for quick jobs, while medium and large devices are centrally located for larger jobs. This move optimized print placement and decreased the number of machines by the hundreds.
