Cox College renovation to begin this week

Published Thursday, February 7, 2019 2:30 pm

In less than a year, Cox College raised $6.8 million to fund a renovation of its facilities that began this week. Contributions came in a variety of ways, including $2.2 million from the U.S. Department of Commerce, a $1 million matching grant from the Mabee Foundation, and many donations from local benefactors and CoxHealth employees.

The ultimate goal of this project is to enable Cox College to educate a larger number of medical professionals. Greater classroom space will be created to help increase the number of students the Missouri State Board of Nursing will allow Cox College to accept. Nurses are needed across the state of Missouri, and Cox College is ready to answer to that need. This project is expected to take about a year to complete.

Not only will this renovation project increase classroom size, but it will bring an updated appearance to the interior and exterior of Cox College’s building. Architectural renderings of the future updated facilities can be viewed below.
