Job Opportunity: Navigator housed at Greene County Family Justice Center

Description: This position will assist adult and child victims of domestic violence or stalking at the Family Justice Center. Position will be responsible for providing victims with direct services such as crisis intervention, advocacy, court support, safety planning, information and referral, and follow-up. The goal of this position is to navigate clients through the various social and justice systems necessary to move from victim to survivor. As a result, this position will be employed by The Victim Center but will be housed at the Greene County Family Justice Center and will work closely with on and off-site collaborative partners and multi-disciplinary teams to assist victims.

Qualifications:  Candidates should have at least a four-year degree from an accredited college or university or must have an equivalent combination of education/experience necessary to perform the essential job functions. Experience in a related field is preferred, along with knowledge of client resources within the Springfield/southwest Missouri area. Desired applicants must be able to work with diverse populations, especially those who are at-risk or in crisis. Must be able to pass criminal and child abuse and neglect background checks. Must be proficient with Microsoft Office and Windows-based platforms. Must have reliable transportation, must be able to do light lifting, and must be able to work in environments requiring long periods of sitting and/or standing.

Primary Work Location: Family Justice Center currently housed in the Greene County Judicial Building on the second floor; Springfield, Missouri

Compensation: Compensation will be based on qualifications and experience; Benefits and a generous paid time off package included.

Work Hours: Generally Monday-Friday, 8-5.
