The Network is proud to serve as a resource both for young professionals looking to get more plugged in and for local organizations looking for qualified volunteer leaders. Read on to learn about our latest roundup of board opportunities! If your organization has volunteer leadership roles that you'd like to have added to our list please contact Paige Oxendine.

RIDE417 is a 501(C)(3) non-profit college and university safe ride program that uses rental cars and a team of volunteer drivers to provide rides home to students who are either impaired or in an otherwise unsafe situation. The program serves all higher education institutions in the area and is preparing to launch in the fall 2017 semester. This exciting new organization is actively looking to add to its Board of Directors, which meets the first Thursday of each month at 6:00 p.m. Anyone interested in learning more is encouraged to contact Ally Walsh

Springfield Animal Advocacy Spay & Neuter Clinic

The Springfield Animal Advocacy Spay & Neuter Clinic is looking for additional board members to help further their cause of making Springfield a no-kill community by 2018. The clinic provides affordable, high-quality spay and neuter services in an effort to reduce the population of unwanted animals. The clinic also offers affordable vaccinations several times a year and microchipping all year round.

Legal or accounting experience is a plus, but is not a requirement for board service. The group generally meets the second Tuesday of each month at 6:00 p.m. and volunteers at various events throughout the year. If you're interested in learning more about this fun and fulfilling cause, contact Abby Terhark.
