Business Description:
Marisol International provides global logistics and supply chain solutions. Services include worldwide transportation, customs brokerage, cargo insurance, customs bonds and international trade compliance.

Brief History:
In 2002, five logistics professionals pooled their talents and resources. They formed a fresh, vibrant company driven by the goal, "to build a professional service organization that provides international trade services which strengthen our clients' global supply chains." In July of 2013, Marisol International was acquired by Roadrunner Transportation Systems, one of the fastest growing transportation companies in the U.S.

Unique Features:
Marisol International supports and empowers employees to become Licensed Customs Brokers (LCBs) to provide superior customer service. Marisol International is proud to have 17 LCBs (41% of account managers; which exceeds the industry average). Additionally, Marisol International is C-TPAT certified and verified, creating front of line processing for import clients. Furthermore, Marisol International provides innovative logistics technology through miSTAT, allowing customers to access important shipment information on the go. miSTAT also enables communication between shippers and account managers as well as documentation sharing capabilities.

Exciting News:
The most exciting news for Marisol within the last year would be the conclusion of labor contract negotiations between the Pacific Maritime Association (PMA) and the International Longshore and Warehouse Union (ILWU). The previous West Coast labor contract expired during the summer of 2014. Negotiations continued into the fall and winter, creating shipping challenges for the industry as a whole. On February 20, the two parties announced a tentative labor contract, restoring full labor to the 29 West Coast ports.

What does the future hold?
Marisol International will continue to provide valuable international transportation services for our clients. Additionally, Marisol expects to continue building and nurturing long-term partnerships with our clients and prospective clients.
