Qualifications & Experience:
MANDATORY: (M1) Master’s degree in a social service field from a regionally accredited institution of higher learning; (M2) Two years of experience within the last five years in the social service field or social service administration; (M3) Excellent administrative skills and experience building professional relationships; (M4) Ability to work well with others; (M5) Strong oral and written communication skills; (M6) Ability to use information technology for professional productivity (such as Microsoft Office Suite).
DESIRABLE: (D1) Experience in a leadership role in a social service facility; (D2) College instruction experience; (D3) Experience with hybrid/online education; (D4) Experience with Canvas; (D5) Experience working within a collegiate setting; (D6) Experience with Colleague.

Schedule Details: Full-time/11 month position/Grant-funded (until 12/2020)/PSRS
The Instructor will be responsible for the instruction and management of assigned classes and will maintain professionalism within their specialized field, including currency and required certifications. Other major responsibilities include participating on department and college-wide committees and assignments. This position is responsible for 15 – 25 instructional contact hours in a normal work week. Additionally, contact hours with students will be assigned to monitor practicum site participation. The Instructor must be willing to travel to OTC extension sites on a regular basis, specifically the Waynesville and Table Rock locations. The Instructor is allowed to teach two classes for overload per semester. Over two classes for overload is rare and requires approval of Dean and Provost.
