The Farmers Market of the Ozarks is searching for a self-starting individual to fill the lead role of Executive Director for the 501c3 nonprofit based in Springfield, MO. The Executive Director provides business administration to the organization by ensuring all procedures and operating standards are followed, provides fiscal management, and oversight of the market’s business structure, including franchise markets and new market programs. Fundraising and corporate sponsorships will be pursued by the Executive Director to help enhance market programs and special events. The Executive Director will serve as the brand manager of the organization and oversee all marketing programs and initiatives and work with the Market Manager on the creation of marketing plans, place media buys in accordance with marketing plans and budget, develop programs for community-based on FMO mission, attend board meetings, and present reports on all marketing, educational and grant programs. This position will serve as the public face for the market through community appearances, speeches, media appearances, and other tasks as necessary. This job will require 5-10 hours a month on weekends during peak months.
