The primary function of the Alarm Services Specialist is maintaining and creating all alarm service tickets for the stores and DC’s.  The Alarm Services Specialist assists with shipping equipment to the stores, answering phones, monitoring signals, and assisting technicians in the field during service calls and installations. 

Essential Job Functions

  • Maintains and creates alarm service tickets in MARS for the stores, distribution centers and the corporate offices.  This includes both burglary and fire alarms
  • Uses follow up que in Mars to ensure stores have received service in a timely manner
  • Ships alarm equipment as needed 
  • Emails alarm reports and call lists to District/Regional Managers and auditors
  • Searches for new service subcontractors in various states.  Obtains rate information and determines whether the sub will be a good fit to perform service
  • Performs daily maintenance on alarm codes and call lists
  • Performs downloads and troubleshooting on the burglary systems for new store installations, distribution centers, and relocations
  • Provides in-depth technical assistance to technicians in the field on new installations and service calls

Skills and Qualifications

  • High school diploma
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Technical knowledge on alarm systems to allow troubleshooting with the technicians
  • Computer literacy including ability to efficiently use Microsoft Word and manipulate and analyze data in Microsoft Excel
  • Should be able to type at least 40 WPM
  • Able to multi task and deal well with potential stressful situation
  • Excellent customer service skills

This is a full-time opportunity; Monday-Friday, 8 a.m.-5 p.m.
